This RYA Seamanship Skills course builds on the Basic Skills course and includes fine tuning those five essentials and boat handling manoeuvres.
* the course content includes rigging, launching and recovery, as well as high level skills such as sailing tight circles and sailing rudderless.
* this is the pre-requisite skill level for becoming a keelboat instructor.
Course Type: Practical, theory
Required Experience: RYA Sailing level 2 or equivalent
Assumed Knowledge: None
Course Content: Sailing with a partner as crew and helm in a crew boat. Handling larger boats with main sail and jib.
Ability After Course: On completion of these skills a student may receive a seamanship certificate
