RYA Keelboat Level 2

This RYA certified course provides the skills & background knowledge needed to becoming a competent sailor in light winds with an introduction to sailing techniques & manoeuvres, rigging, safety, man over board & basic rules of the road.. Our course has the added advantage of being endorsed for coastal waters. This course is part of the RYA National 'Sailing Scheme'.

  • Course Type: Practical, some theory
  • Required Experience: Minimum age 11
  • Assumed Knowledge: Knowledge to Level 1 standard
  • Course Content: Becoming a competent sailor in light winds with an introduction to sailing techniques and manoeuvres, rigging, launching, safety and basic rules of the road.
  • Ability After Course: The sailor will consolidate their basic knowledge of the sport and also learn more advanced skills so that they develop the practical ability to eventually sail the boat without an instructor on board.
